A few months ago the kids found a cat on a construction site near the house. At first I told them that they could not keep it. I told them they would have to take it back. Then we decided to let it spend the night and that was 6 months ago. I can't believe how much we all like the cat, even Sham likes him. He really has added to our lives, as if having 6 kids wasn't enough. When I was growing up I always had cats but never one like this one. He lets the kids carry him like a baby and when he was younger he would go under my jilbab while I was praying and try to bite my feet. I'm glad he has stopped doing that.
A couple of months ago the temperature dropped to below freezing and there was a cat at the masjid that someone dropped off. This poor cat was going to have to be outside in this weather so we convinced Sham to bring her home for the night and that was 2 months ago. So now we have 2 cats, but that is definitely it. No more cats.
